Hi, I’m Jacqueline! I’m the owner and one of the master stylists here at Prickly Pear Hair Co.

My passion for hair began in high school when I enrolled in the cosmetology program. In the evenings and on weekends, I continued building my skills through the RAP program at a local salon. After graduating, I completed both my formal training and apprenticeship, fully committing to my journey in the industry.
I also took part in a weekend leadership program called Champ Camp, and I’ve proudly volunteered with the Hair Massacure. In honour of my mom—who beat breast cancer—I raised $13,851.00 for the cause and shaved my pink hair onstage as the top individual fundraiser. It was one of the most meaningful experiences of my life.
My inspiration to become a hairstylist comes from the feeling I had as a teenager when I left the salon—confident, refreshed, and like the best version of myself. That’s the experience I want to give every client who sits in my chair: a relaxing, fun, and transformative moment just for them.
My dream is to grow a team that feels like family—supporting, inspiring, and lifting each other up. Nothing makes me prouder than seeing stylists passionate about their craft and watching clients light up when they see themselves in the mirror.
